Kunaal Nirola is a filmmaker, writer, and creative mind shaped by a decade of deep industry experience and an unwavering dedication to the craft. With over nine years spent assisting some of Bollywood’s most critically acclaimed directors, he has developed a command over storytelling that blends emotional precision with visual sophistication.
As a creative director, Kunaal has led high-impact campaigns for marquee brands including HMD, Airtel, ICICI, MTV, and Tanishq. His vision has guided and refined performances from some of the industry’s most iconic names including Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, and Karan Johar. His influence extends beyond direction, with more than 30 advertisements and webseries as post head under his eye where narrative flow, tone, and aesthetic are curated to cinematic perfection.
kunaal approaches every project with the insight of a writer and the control of a filmmaker. From concept to final cut, his process is immersive and exacting ensuring every frame is intentional and every moment carries weight.
Before filmmaking, Kunaal earned his degree in mechanical engineering and trained as a 3D reverse engineer from the renowned United States firm. He later transitioned into cinema with formal training as a filmmaker, bringing technical precision and narrative intuition into a rare creative balance.
